This is the first time that the Atlantic equatorial belt is starting to show blue on the temp anomaly map.
The Pacific is very cold and you could cool your beer in it. :) I am now expecting the Atlantic to show all blue, soon.
The Pacific is raising a mild plume that has penetrated N. America. More snow for people.
ps. cbc continues to blame the jet stream for the cold, but they had to go out of country to find someone to quote. I'm hoping the Canadians have given up on this.
