Will travel come back?

Travel wasn't in the greatest shape before covid.  I went to Ethiopia and right after, there was civil war.  The Seychelles was grossly over-populated with no beaches and dead coral.  Every place was in a war against tourists because of cruise ships and over-crowding.

The air travel was always a nightmare.  Now, the hard-core travellers are getting stuck in new restrictions.

The millenials are buying Toronto real estate, and no money left for travel.  People work from home, and there might not be a big push for a holiday, which we always had in the cruel conditions of an office.  Nobody wants to work, anyway.

With the new ice cycle, we'll have horrible cold up north, but it will be cooler down south.  Is that enough to travel?  I just think we have big changes here.

Are we sure anything is coming back. How much longer can we print. Another big question is all these people that are vaxxed are afraid of travel.

Print? This article was picked up by the masses for some reason. Covid is going to mutate into a deadly cold virus. Reminds me of Austen - "People do not die of the common cold.'.

I just need to vent some more. We were trapped in the '9 to 5' movie world, and we suffered tremendously just to get a short holiday. We didn't mind being treated like cattle as long as there was lots of booze at the all-inclusive. People who always went first class had a different experience. But passengers were getting nuttier and we were running out of locations. Right now, somebody is going first class to give the penguins covid and costs are unbelievable. But they might get trapped. I have no great desire to travel under those conditions.

I don't think that any of that is going to change any time soon. The print I was referring too was money printing. If that stops I think you can stop thinking about vacations.

We are in an era of wallowing in stupidity, from printing money, housing, climate, etc. This all goes into building things that will turn out to be useless. These eras cannot last, but you will never spot the end.

I think I am seeing it now. It is building momentum an inch at a time. Even I think you are there. This is why I like looking at your blog. It is interesting and most important it makes me think.

Muhaha! I am a god! But I always bite the hand that feeds me. I would like nothing better than to be proven wrong. But that's the Scientific Method, put out a straw man to be knocked down by subsequent experiments. Or not. Our wonderful era does everything that our ancestors warned us against. Neat.
