Spencer shows rapid spike drop

But he calls it the warmest year ever, and so it will be on the media.

I'm glad to see it finally drop as a narrow spike.  These things have no great effect on anything.  The area under the various excursions is equivalent to total heat energy produced.  A spike has very little energy.

Now that the spike has closed, we can say it was due to that micro El Nino I spotted a while ago.  This was a small segment of coherent ocean current flow.  The amount of energy is defined by the length of the segment, much like an earthquake.  As such, it was an M6 El Nino.

I am still waiting for the ocean current maps.  I have a hypothesis that the 'Phoney El Nino' was totally a result of a small reverse current to the north, that brought in a small amount of heat energy to cover the usually cold East Pacific.  The total depth of the warm water may have been a few metres.  This fooled the sat record.

That current was cut off at the source a while ago, and started to decay at the head and foot.  Just a little is left now.

ps.  in an amazing turn of events, the rightwingers are using exactly the same technique as the leftwingers did against physics people in universities.  Although at that time, people actually read 4000 word essays, and they weren't written by AI.
