RSS results are in

Thank goodness we have an alternative to nooa, and it aligns with my concept of physics.  The spikes are caused by areas of coherent flow in the Pacific.  Every spike on rss correlates to one of these events and they are getting smaller and smaller.  The total energy of the event is determined by the length of the coherent zone (like earthquakes), and corresponds to the area under the rss temperature plot.  It's a comfort for me.  I like things making sense.

The nooa plots are in la la land.  I suspect they just take the temp anomaly plot and do something with it.

This is their global plot and it shows powerful spikes in 1997 and 2016.  The current spike is very narrow and peaking.

And this shows 'continental US' which is very cold right now, as we go into winter.

Natgas is still going with nooa, and is very low.

ps.  the daily Arctic surface temps are now collapsing.

pps.  when that cold blob hits the Gulf plume, snow will fly!
