Ocean current maps have died

Somebody got to them.  It's sad.  I've watched them for years.  I have the videos of the big, real El Nino events.  Now they are gone.

Ocean currents are the main transport mechanism for the Earth's heat flow.  It was easy to watch this, with those maps.  A drop of water contains 4000 times more heat energy (same temp) as a drop of air.  The ocean currents define the heat flow, and the atmospheric plumes spread heat energy away from the equator.

The two main currents that curve up the continents, and carry heat energy, are the North Pacific, and the Gulf Stream.  They gave up this job after 2016.

The main 'story' is that the wind drives the currents.  This is against physics, but it has the 'truth of popularity'.  If I wanted to actually do work, I could have overlaid the wind map on the current map.  Perhaps somebody was worried.

The popular story has eliminated all new physics on oceans and the atmosphere.  We are only left with 'looking outside the window'.  :(

I expect more charts to go this way.  A chart only shows up if it supports the story, and is 'cancelled' when it goes the other way.

ps.  as usual, the day after I made this bitch, the new maps have shown up, a month late.
