Why is Canada a Sludge?

 

I believe he snuck in something about productivity.  What are we such a sludge?

Here is one answer - suicidal unions.  But not the whole thing.  I've written about this before, and I am still trying to drill down to the fundamental cause.  California tech land is built by Canadians.  

Anyway, not a clue.  Actually, I do have a clue, but the forces of destruction are too strong here.  

ps great example of suicidal equality.  The old company hired a really good brilliant leader, who could have turned the company around.  But, they had to pay US wages, and all the Ontario commies tore him down for that.  He left.  Because of our climate and small-town attitudes, we would rather destroy everything, rather than let somebody make money.  People with the cross-connected brains offer a productivity 10 times that of the average.  Yet, we drive them off to California.
