We are heading to 30 below as I predicted. This was the fine weather in 1983, when the pipes kept freezing in our first, very old house.
Once they are frozen, they stop creating a 'Lake Effect'. Maybe a little. However, they open the possibility for Toronto to be the New Winnipeg.
I have decided to continue writing a very dry weather report. All the snark has left me, as all the stupidity taps are open full blast.
We continue to get a slow march of cold, with a clipper. This is not going away.
The Great Lakes are no longer carving out a chunk of the cold. The main mass is 30 below, with some hints of 40.
I'm showing the anomaly plot because the Arctic vortex machines have finally eaten their dinner.
We have a massive continuous flow from the Arctic basin. Just like the flow to Europe, this should last a week, and then recharge, however I give it 20% to be turned on until March. Europe can wait until next year.

ps the only thing that will cast a shot over the bow for marxwarminess is the US running out of natgas. That's 20%.
