Don't smash a phone

Neat, it is now impossible to totally wipe a phone.  They have factory reset protection, and will always retain something.  I just decided I would smash them like an old hard disk.

Wow!  Can you say lithium fire?  I took it to the sink and doused it with water, then took it outside.  Man, everybody should do that once, to see how the fire develops and is contained.  You wouldn't want this on a Swiss ceiling or Zoolander gas fight, but the flames are small.

So, assume your lithium battery will go, and be in a place to put it out, or a place where it can burn out.  Not under the curtains, or in the leftover Christmas wrappings.  It also makes a nice popping sound which is still in my head, and should wake you up.

The worst are lithium batteries in those heat-up vests.  You just hang them with the rest of coats.  Also, the fire alarm works very well with these things.

All in all, although the smoke gave me a headache, I don't think they are any worse than any other source of a small fire.

So, my next tikkytokky challenge is to charge up your old phone, and smash it with a big hammer.  Wow, what a show.

ps. this is all a dream.  I really wasn't stupid enough to do this.

ps but in the dream, I took the other phone out to the patio bricks and did it again!  Wow!

Hey the batteries are great for business. It is just constant. The little secret no one wants to talk about.
