Arctic feeling queasy

The Arctic celebrated too much, and is projectile vomiting all over Europe.

Toronto is on the cold side of the clipper at -14C.  The warm side is expected to hit us in a few days.

Europe is getting sheets and sheets of cold.  The cold flow has been too steady to show a lobate front, but in terms of energy, we are way over an A8 event.

An Atlantic plume is clipping the bottom of Greenland, but the top is black.  The whole Arctic is black, and our clipper is bring black into the provinces.  Toronto should hit the 70-90's temperature of 30 below, soon, after the storms.

You can really see the clipper here.

Yesterday, I said we were in recharge, and now it's flowing back to Europe.  We are just getting a tiny side-stream.  We may be hitting the time of no recharge, and continuous flow.  It just depends on whether the flow is Europe or NA.

The weather people are intellectually bankrupt on this.  They define 'Polar Vortex' as 'cold', with no volume knob.  So, all they say is that the cold is caused by cold.

ps oh boy, the dog walk at -14C.  This is as cold as it gets in Toronto, until the lakes freeze, then -30.  Anyway, I switched to my 40 below boots, but I should have gone with the thick socks, as well.  Haven't seen it this cold since the 80's.
