Thank goodness we never write checks any more. For a whole month, you screwed up the year on the date.
There is no hope for physics this year, simply because there is too much money in fantasy. However, we few people can have fun laughing at those other guys. All our weather ultimately comes from the oceans. They are the main heat pipe for distributing heat energy. All those people trying to put in central Arties know the value of cooling with water.
However, the fantasy of weather people is that the air controls everything, and drives the ocean currents. The Physics Says No. We look at the surface temperature of the oceans because that is the most stable measurement, and is directly related to heat energy. Air temperatures are no indication of heat energy.
We start with the 'world' sea temperatures. This is put together by all the oceans, and they don't display all the separate oceans. We are now getting into southern temperatures, and it has no bearing on the north.
These are the north Atlantic segments, with the polar Atlantic being a subset. The temps are most influenced by the Gulf Stream.
This is the Atlantic mid-band, and is just an indicator. Not much use right now, but it was essential to my prediction of not-much hurricane action this year. Hurricanes need heat energy.
This is my favourite indicator of natgas demand. Looks like it's falling off the chart. Oh dear.
Finally, the nino band is also falling off the chart. This is our only physics indicator on what's going on, and it is cold.
Finally, the main charts of sea surface temp and the anomaly, which was calculated before year 2000. We can assume this tells us we are really back to the 70-80's.
ps and in Switz, they had to drag out the heaters they haven't used since the 80's
ps
I love the UK!
