If you are a despot destroying your country's economy for personal gain, then you have a real problem. All those hungry people protesting. As any trumpian knows, you've got to get rid of them.
The problem with just machine-gunning them, are the bodies. You can't hide that with Internet blackouts, etc. Always causes a problem. Many despots have come up with innovative solutions. Africans send out the people in rubber rafts. They always sink, and the sharkies take care of things.
Putin just throws millions of people at the Ukrainian drones. The missiles he shoots, cost as much as an entire Siberian Express train, but it keeps the Ukrainians doing the job for him.
North Korea sends them to Russia.
During the Argentine troubles, they just tossed people out of planes, but that was really expensive.
Trump just sends people out on commercial charters to die in huge prisons conveniently located in jungles - lions, tigers and bears are stuffed.
But Iran has a problem. How to kill all those people, so the loyalists can eat? I can't figure it out. Shutting down the internet is useless. We might find out soon.
