Yeah, another semantics change. This is not a polar vortex, which stays up at near-vacuum, but is caused by the polar vortex.
They are using physics analogies!
The ring of icy air is being stretched south across North America like a rubber band, which can mess with the winds closer to the surface and allow Arctic air to spill out.
This would be such an easy mechanism to measure, if it existed. Best to just lip-flap about it. Everybody knows these guys wouldn't lie.
This gets back to my old question of how cold does it have to get before people start thinking. I am having fun here.
ps and throw your feelings into science.
So, with feeling, say -- "Cold is caused by warmth, and night is caused by day". I'm glad she is still doing so well, and in Texas, yet.
