Mega-blob turns to clipper

The -15C mega-blob is over.  The Arctic is going down a bit.  I had said the cold flood looked continuous, but there is a matter of degree.

The encroaching Pacific air could have gone straight over the mountains, to give us nice dry warmth, but instead has decided to go up to Alaska, and give us a messy clipper.  That's a sandwich of wet, warm air, topped by a creamy coating of very cold air.  Not nice, at all.

natgas is getting a hint of zooming.  No real end in sight for the cold, if you count -6c at night, cold.  My dog doesn't.

ps none of this argues against that great mechanism of clange causing all this cold.  I read it, so it's true.
