Lake Huron starts final turn-over to freezing

Just like Lake Erie, earlier, we can see the warm pockets rapidly sinking.  This is 'turn-over' when the 6C water turns to 4C, and achieves maximum density.  A good project for the kiddies.

Once we have this turn-over, the remaining water at 2C has no heat energy to shed and quickly freezes.  Same thing in the ocean in the Greenland Gap, but ice crystals have to separate from the salt,

When this all freezes over, we won't have snow flurries anymore, just big snowstorms -- Yeah!  Toronto will go to -30C at night, and 'north of 7' will have -40C, since Lake Ontario stays mostly clear of ice.
