The Arctic is in full recharge, so the weak Pacific plumes come out to play. I've never seen a continuous clipper. Some people are getting a lot of snow.
All the plume action is very weak.
We're getting a nice black for the Arctic.
California is getting a huge clockwise gyre, a total creature of Arctic cold. However, the LA winds seem muddled. I can't see it staying that way if the gyre moves down. Remember that the LA winds are a product of cold, not warmth.
Here's where it gets interesting. The Arctic is stewing up a giant blob. I'm still going for an M9.5. Toronto is going for -30C, so tend to your furnaces. Trumples has tempted the gods by saying "We don't need your stinkin' oil and gas." I love it. When the super mega-blob hits, they won't have a speck of natgas in reserve. I give it 80% for a huge disaster, but maybe it all fizzles out, and they don't learn anything.
No blobs for Europe. Maybe next year.
