While the Arctic Death takes a holiday, we go into the long-term background. What the physicsless weather people miss is the power of convection. They just box it into thunderstorms. In fact, it rules the world. Convection drives plate tectonics, and it drives the oceans. Convection in the atmosphere conducts all our heat energy into space, where it radiates out like a dim bulb. You can actually get the AI to admit all this, if you get pass the 'social guardrails'.
The Earth goes through the 300 million-year warming and cooling cycles, driven by continental arrangements. Thus, we had large early mammals before all the continents shmooshed together for the Mesozoic. Then large reptiles ruled the roost. Then continents separated again, and the dinosaurs froze. The last 2 million years, the continents have arranged our ice age, with 10,000 year ice advances. What goes around comes around.
We are enjoying a fine peace between ice advances. This is broken up by 300 year temperature cycles, caused by big flips in the Pacific Ocean. And 20 year cycles caused by little flips.
That's the physics explanation, and can be addressed by the Scientific Method. Unfortunately, that is inconvenient to the Power Seekers, and we just live with Influencer Science. Sad.
Phew! Shot my Inspiration Load. Just look at the last report. All the same, but colder. It's like watching grass freeze.
The Gulf Stream is descending, the Pacific is dead. All is wonderful.
ps ok, back from breakfast.
Here we track the death of the Gulf Stream. It used to go right to the top of that open area. Now it doesn't. We are going to have the same thing as the Roman farmers at the end of their warming period. No crops. Everything must be in greenhouses.
Here we have the most important action in the Pacific. That stupid heat blob has reappeared, screwing the thermometer plot, but the 'elephant graveyard' of old heat blobs is finally succumbing to the worms of cold. The southern cold feed is going around it, and we soon have the Cold Pacific back, into our warm embrace. The no-energy heat blob is encased in rain, and does not send out any heat energy. The old blob remnants were warming the Shemi, but that's dead now.
The South is like the North now.
The Arctic ice is doing fine, and soon we'll have lots of happy polar bears frolicking around and eating people.
The Gulf of Maine is extremely cold, and fights the magic influence of the non-existent Ninnie-poo. That's the stuff of noreasters!
