We are freezing, but the cold front has squeezed up warm Gulf air to the Arctic, so no new blobs for a while.
We just wait for the heat energy that will never come.
ps the mechanism for the pole is like that box which you turn on, a hand comes out and turns it off. The big Arctic blob squishes all the Gulf Heat, and it zooms up by Greenland to squelch the Arctic vortex.
