El Nino Watch Declared

Ha, not a chance.  But they can always just declare the useless probabilities when it doesn't happen.

Meanwhile, an M6 earthquake happened way out from Vancouver.  32 people felt it, I wonder if the kids felt it.  They are enjoying a rainy holiday there.

ps.  that's where you want to run to, when you feel an earthquake on the west coast.

pps - the context of the El Nino thing is that the physics shows that the mechanics of an El Nino, is the build-up of deep hot water around Indonesia.  It was that every 7 years, that hot water would then reverse the currents and cross the Pacific.  If you are into the "magical sciences' then there is no mechanism, and El Nino just appears when it wants to.  They have it starting from the other end this time.
