Spring weather is over -- oceans boss us around

 

We want the Pacific plumes to come directly east over the mountains.  Not happening.  Instead, we are getting the old 'slashing plumes'

There is a heck of a lot of cold still up north.  The new Pacific pattern will drag this down with alternating Gulf of Mexico plumes.  We need the plumes to hit the Arctic and break up the cold air.  

ps. the long range forecast keeps getting colder, which is usual when a big cold blob comes down.
