Condensate pump an experiment on the Origin of Life

You need one of these if your furnace is in a room without a basement drain.  It is very reliable and pumps the water through a tube, over the hallway.

The last one lasted a very long time, and was clear when I took it out.  I bought a replacement 6 years ago, and never looked at it, and it burned out in 6 years.  Now I have a brand new one.

The pump gets distilled water from the air conditioner, and natgas condensate from the furnace.  None of this is conducive to life or mineralization, so I never looked at it.  Upon taking it apart, I found clear bacterial mats, as tough as leather.  These sheets clogged up the pump.

A little bit of sulphur and other 'earth stuff' identical to the beginning of life.  These are the bacterial mats that created stromatolites.

We saw these in Nfld and I gave my sister a long lecture, on how the mats fight each other on the same rock, and you can see the boundaries.  To exist on the rocks at that time, the mats were tough.  And I had them in my basement!  They are formed by Archea bacteria, which still float around, and clean groundwater deep in the soil

Needless to say, I will now open it up once a year, and pour in cleaning vinegar.  Don't want them taking over the world!

ps yeah, Roxie the wonderdog just saved a lost puppy.  Lady came up in the car and asked if we saw a dog, and she was so upset she described it all wrong.  I said no, and a minute later a little dog came running up.  For a minute, I thought it was another lost dog, and asked some of the neighbours.  I just put Roxie's leash on the dog, and continued the walk. Luckily the lady came back, and all was well.  The little dog just loved Roxie, and I had to tell her firmly to be nice.  She hates little dogs.

Arctic Sea Expansion

Yes people, the Arctic Sea is taking over the world.  Forget the Russians, because they are getting frozen over.  My hypothesis about the Gulf Stream is now validated by the New Scientist, but we need some physics, to overcome pat explanations.

The Arctic Ocean is freezing over more than in recent years.  The ocean currents feeding the Arctic with heat are flagging out.  Hurricanes are high-grade heat engines driven by hot ocean water.  Around the Arctic we now have low-grade scavenger heat engines that are the agents of expansion.

We are talking Stirling Engines, using clear air as the working fluid, instead of steamy air for the hurricanes.  The mechanism is different.  My brain hurts when I zoom into one of these, and try to make them work.  There is a double vortex because the cold air has to go down, and the warm air up.  Compressing the cold air and expanding the warm air produces heat expansion that pushes against the walls, and continues the vortex.

A hurricane has to move on to get to the hot water, but the ice vortex stays at one spot, and sucks in stray tropical plumes.  It is extreme cold at the bottom that anchors it.  I saw the ice trail that the Hudson Bay Icycane left behind.  You do not want to be at the bottom.  Can freeze a caribou in mid-stride ....

This is a hypothesis.  Even the New Scientist doesn't do these.  They need the 'Big Pronouncement' "Ocean Current Collapse!"  It can't just run out of gas, like reality.  For the Scientific Method, we need experiments where it is not a foregone conclusion to protect the power-people.  Unfortunately, they have the money and have fun abusing power, like turning off Starlink.

We used to have the pat explanation for everything: "The Will of God".  Now, it is "Climate Change".  I dream of a world where people get sick of this.

ps just had a great thought to eliminate the Victorian Brutality of the Scientific Method.  Always have a twin opposite hypothesis, and the winner buys the loser a chocolate.  Get the betting markets in on it, to fund the physics.

Typhoon pushed all the cold air to Asia

The typhoon only had a little plume hit the Arctic, but a big effect.

We have no cold linear storms hitting us in Toronto, and clearing out the Gulf air.

The Arctic has no black, and will give rise to those thoughts it will become ice-free.

Wow, what a tropical pole!  Asia has to get out the parkas.

The Arctic Basin Vortex will recover.  We have, at least, the 'permanent' UK ice vortex.  They should be having fun.

None of this heat came from El Nino, but people will say it did.

ps some physics in the news.  They use my charts, and leave out the climate crap.

The UK cold vortex is taking its place.
