The energy of a storm is due to temperature difference. Climate change is supposed to be defined as a broad warming all over, if it is ever defined. Does not increase storms.
Here it shows we are going to have a big difference, especially when that weather, which is freezing Toronto, moves down. We have pure Arctic air up against pure tropical air.
We can see the very intense collision front. The NE air is coming down very hard. The tropical air just hangs around. The name is due to the cold air, but it would be impossible without clange.
The classic thing is to bring in the fishing boats. This doesn't do much to sheltered harbours, I think.
