The only way the protests resolve

 Alberta has declared war on the east.  Monster trucks are weapons of war, as much as tanks.  There is no response to them, other than shooting.  The trucks and now giant tractors cannot be moved.  These people are all making more money doing this, than actually working.  They have no attachment to the economy.  In fact, none of us do.

The start of this was, of course, the economic war waged against Alberta by the warmie-phillies.  With not a shred of physics, or economics, they declared that the oil industry must be destroyed.  And buy windmills and solar cells from China.

Now, the west has punched back with tanks.  As soon as the police try to clear a border station, they move in with more trucks.  In Ottawa, they will never be able to tow out a truck without more trucks blocking them.  Since no giant tow truck will get involved, they will have to call in the heavy equipment of the army, and those guys only know how to shoot.

The only way for this to resolve now is to have the courts declare a riot, just like the Stanley Cup.  A riot is a demonstration with willful intent to destroy.  As soon as one heart-attack guy dies, then it's on.  Conspiracy to riot can also go after those natpost guys.  

Of course, none of this will happen.  People will die quietly.  Nobody wants to get the shrillie-phillies out west even more shrill.  War Measures Act anyone?

The big strikes of the 70's had everybody fighting for a bigger slice of the pie.  In those days, people were actually concerned there would be a pie, and that restrained some action.  Now, people will fight for a slice of pie that is going to nothing because of the fighting.  There is no restraint.

ps.  the only attachment to the economy is the interest rate on mortgages.  But, the central banker says "Hey, you destroy the economy, no interest rate rises'.  Neat.  Thanks to covid, nobody is paying off their mortgage, and the banks don't dare to foreclose.  We are in paradise.

pps.  basically, this must end in a big world 70's recession, where there is no money to buy anything.  If we follow the west and refuse to buy anything not made in our hometown, block all trade, then we go into a 30's depression.  And it all started with nasa.  Neat.
