Pacific plume hit wipes out the cold

Although the Pacific plumes are weak, they still pack a lot of heat.

They are doing a full sweep, and this means milder, but snowy weather.

I'm just throwing in this picture for Europe.  There is such a deep gash of warmth over the top, and I am rubbing my nose in confusion.

ps. and this funny, inside the paywall of the WSJ

I used to do a lot of computer modelling, but you have to dig deep into the physics.  What they do here is use 'fudge factors' to match the past, and then say the model is good.  If anybody starts doing the field physics, then the whole ball of wax comes tumbling down.
