Weak plumes drift into the Arctic

This is neat.  Last year we were warm in the winter because of very strong plumes, and this year we are warm because of very weak plumes.  There's some new physics here, if I can figure it out.

That's the 2 m temperature anomaly.  We are quite warm for January, and the whole Arctic is warm by a few degrees.  So, just a little heat energy has a big effect up north.  This can't last, just ask the UK.  No warmies are mentioning them.

ps.  there's always a warm spot somewhere in the world.
