For this new year, the weather patterns have completely changed. We were getting vertical, narrow plumes for the last month or so. The last one has just cleared Toronto, and is heading out to the UK.
A big plume is smashing into the Yukon, and I haven't seen anything like that for a while. No new plumes have been generated. This plume will come down on us as very cold weather, with snow. For a while before that hits, we are into default weather, which gives us -10c at night, and a bit plussy during the day. Perfect for icy sidewalks, so wear your ice clips.
