It's basically a winter 'misery' index of snow, sunlight, length, etc. Last year was huge for Toronto, and people saw it in their heating bill. This is one measurement that goes against the media, and thus, is ignored. The year before we had the 2023-2024 heating event. This winter will be huge again.
