Yeah, put the booze back on the shelves and let it gather dust.
In the oil biz, this is called 'demand destruction'. I remember we used to watch American baseball every Wednesday night. Then they went on that ridiculously long strike, and we never watched again.
In California, their wine is so cheap, it is used to clean the streets (ha, ha, they don't clean the streets!).
In fact, I'm pretty well off most booze, and beef steaks. Maybe I'll live another month longer.
