Quite the storm for Toronto

 It disturbed the dog, but I slept through it.  I recommend a white noise machine for these things.

The Arctic looks strong again, but this is a beating heart of cold.  On and off.  The rapid changes are amazing, and the energy required is huge.

My hopes for a spring pattern over the mountains has been shattered.  We are back to 'slashing plumes' which bring alternate cold bursts, and warm Gulf air.

For the eclipse, we will be on the edge of another collision between cold and hot.  The weather people are showing clear air for the eclipse, but it is iffy, and they are never right this far out.
