We had our nice pocket of warm stagnant air for Toronto, and the Arctic is charged up and ready to go.
This is a mucky cold blob, but it is still keeping the hurricanes away.
Of interest, is the big heat blob in the west Pacific, that is spinning off a high plume to Alaska. I can't see the hot blob on any other map, so it probably doesn't have legs.
ps for reference, the Arctic is repelling the tropical plume. In the warm cycle, these plume would have warmed the area. Everything is charged up, and ready to spill
It's all ready for a big snowstorm in October, launching our long winter.
