Rapid plume pattern change gives Toronto rain

This is the plume pattern over the last 5 days.  For a while it was coming straight in, and we were having 'just freezing' weather, followed by Siberia.  Now it has become, what I call 'slashing plumes' which lash down and bring up Gulf warm air.  So, we are up to a warm 7C.  Yeah!

I had thought that the plume patterns could be stable for a week or two, but it is now extremely unstable.  Look for storms!
