Yeah for grouchy geologists! The cherished Bruce site is one of the worst places in the world (Alberta is the world to Albertans) to put a nuclear plant. The opposition actually hired a consultant! Still, we know from Nanticoke, and the Bruce holey waste disposal, that bad geology will never stop them.

The reason for the Nuc plant at that location is to power oil production. The Russians also have the idea of using floating Nuc power plants to power off shore oil production. No geological concerns other than capsizing from a tsunami. I imagine the Arctic seas have a host of other hazards as well.
Perhaps eliminate the middle man and use the Nuc power directly and never mind the oil?
