M7 Earthquake Anchorage Alaska

The shaking intensity seems light for this quake.  Anchorage is a city of mud, and the amplifications should be huge.  News at 11.

It looks like the same peak ground velocity (PGV) as the 1964 earthquake.  Although it was an M9, it happened much farther away, and PGV usually saturates with M7.

Lots of cracks, and hopefully nobody killed.  It looked like a pgv of 50 cm/s on the muds.  As usual, structures on piles would not have been affected.
