You'll have to take my word for it, since nobody tracks these things, that the top of the map (Alaska) was always warm from Pacific winds. Not now. That's why we were losing Arctic ice volume.
Now, everything is happy, happy.
ps. We're pretty well losing all our Atlantic heat. The UK is getting hit with one more warm plume, but they keep bitchin' about another Beast from the East. Sorry guys, it's the lack of heat from the west that will freeze you.
