Linux security tightens up for Internet War

When I started Unix in the 90's, we were all la-la land.  Windows was born in this environment, of a stand-alone PC.  We eventually connected the PC's using Novell, which had no security.  Then the old company put in firewalls that wouldn't let you connect to anything.  So much fun, we had to figure out ways around all this, to be able to do work.  And compuserve ascii porn.

Such great times, but now we are on a war footing.  The nasty enemy countries have declared Internet War on us.  Of course, it helps that we just roll on our belly like my dog.  The Great Blackout was caused by a Windows-Novell worm, that stopped the operators from seeing tree damage.  In all the reports, they just blame the tree, because it didn't have huge legal department like MS.

Thus, it continues.  At the old company, they rolled in the Big Corrupters, to make sure that nobody had security.  This was good for a while, until the war started.

The consequence of everybody and their dog getting hit by virtual missiles, is that everybody is going nuts.  I've already mentioned how no bank wants a credit-card only account, and they throw you off.  I get my Costco credit card because CIBC wants to hit you with endless spam on their useless services that make them money.  Credit cards are money losers, as they have to cover endless losses.

The point of all this is that Linux has gone nuts, as well.  The security is 10 times that of Windows, but nobody reports on another Windows exploit, but heaven help you if the media catches a Linux exploit that is something like a one in a million chance of doing something.

All my troubles are with new endless Linux defaults for security.  Neat that all the developers already have all the security, and they never tell you why things go wrong.  I am still trying to get my Docker Frigate security camera system to work again because I just found out you can't connect to anything outside a docker container, without doing extra stuff.  Blah.

Of course, all my Samba stuff is having trouble, because the original Windows network had no security, and they constantly put in 'security' to eliminate competition.  Nothing works with Windows now.  But do they make it more secure for the war?  No.

I want the gov't to declare we are at war, and throw out Windows.  Corruption will make sure this never happens.  Perhaps trumples will nominate someone who wants to kill all the 'black helicopters' of MS, but they are probably all bought out.

This is my great advantage of having one person read me.  He is on a dust farm in the middle of Spain, so the big guys don't notice.

ps. I just figured out that passkeys improve our war security by 10%.  That is encrypted by from the phone to the browser, without any interference from the Windows programming hairball.  Yeah!

ps Computer security encompasses data safety, as shown by ransomware attacks.

Nothing can deal with stupidity, or was it a thing?  It's always the same, regardless.
