This is a celebration of "Dreaming of a White Greenland". First time this season that we have a full 60 below on the place. Who's melting now?
The anomaly map shows that a lot of people are feeling the cold. I don't have great mechanisms, though.
We have a very slow motion of the cold air. A white Greenland usually produces high-flow Arctic blobs, but so far, nothing is steady, and everything changes overnight.
The cold is stopping a tropical plume, and everything is at an impasse.
Just a big mess of cyclones. The cold air is coming in high. I expect that by tomorrow, we'll see all the ducks lined up in a row. Or not, since everything is rapidly changing.
ps. the Hudson Bay Steam Turbine is giving us nice snow flurries.
That means we have the cold coming in high, confusing the heck out of me.
