Linux - Digitizing all the family prints

1990

I used the Epson 400, auto-detect size, 600 dot per inch.  Also, I used 'utsushi' to scan separate jpegs that are numbered sequentially.  Up to this point, almost no work.

Then I uploaded to Google Photos.  With each picture, I usually had to rotate, and use their 'auto fix'.  I shared the album with the relatives.

ps.  That's an ES-400

Young Peregrine Falcon misses the squirrel

The big Momma falcon would have got it.  We also have redtail hawks with a 6 foot wingspan.  They would have got it, as well.  Squirrels are down in the neighbourhood.

Linux - Programming the Mindstorms NXT in Python

We bought the Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0 many years ago as a gag gift for the boys.  They put it together ran it and left.  We dug it out yesterday, when the grand-nephews came to visit.  He's 6 and already programming robots.  I'm going to teach him to be A Real Man and program in Python (I just saw the crown).

So, I'm going to start a series of podcasts "Letters to My Nephew".  It should be fun.
