Caribbean heat completely wiped out

 

Never seen it to this extent before.  It's as if the Canadian Invasion of Cold is running over the American Nazi invasion.  Wow.

This is from the very slow cold blob that I thought wouldn't reach Texas.  The new one will be the frozen jam on the toast.

Very large Arctic spill now starting

 It's been in the weather forecast for days, and I couldn't see it.  Now I can.

This is now the official forecast.  It had this A8 Arctic spill for a few days now.  I require it to disturb the clouds, and see if it is lobate.  They have the instruments.

This is the Alaska shot, and a perfect lobe at the top.

I rate these things like I do earthquakes.  It's all energy.  In this case, you must rate to determine the final impact.  Will it freeze Texas? etc.  High speed and a wide lobe always rate high.

ps much more hot water is bleeding from the SA nose.

You can treat that as a bad thing.

Slow, Continuous Arctic Flow

 Nothing exciting, we are as stagnant as the Ozzie Outback, but with cold.

We can see a front, pushing away the warm air in the US South very slowly.  Yet, this picture doesn't agree with anything else.

Greenland is black, but the rest of the Arctic is warmer than pre-2001.

This is cute, as it shows strong North winds hitting Texas.  Everything here is heavily braided in 3d.  We can see that in the Arctic Basin we have a heat machine vortex continually pumping cold air down to us, as the Europe channel is blocked.

The regular forecast makes no sense to me.  It shows a new big Arctic spill, but I don't see it.

US Natural Gas Saved by a Whisker

 

Wow, it has gone up and down by 50%.  That's one stable system!  They see the big warm front coming down from the Arctic, and they are content.  They have advanced notice of the storage report.

Good, I was so silly getting a fright.  All's well in the world.

Heat energy gone in Caribbean

 This is just interesting, and has no implications, no nothing.

The latest Atlantic plume is a pathetic thing, and can't rise to the UK.  Looking at the physics, we don't expect that any more will 'get it up'.

Looking at the sea temps, we 'see' that all heat energy is leaving the building.  All remaining heat in the Atlantic equatorial belt has tipped over the nose and is heading south.

I expect the gmex to hit new lows in temperature.  Can the Gulf Stream survive this?  

Look to the media for 'real news' from powerful factions.  Using physics is just a hobby for entertainment purposes only.

 Ha, scared myself last night.  But 'Morning Me' is fine with it.  We'll just stay away from certain topics.

An Arctic spill is squeezing away the clipper air like a lemon.  No implications here.

Greenland is black, and that has never meant anything.

The anomaly plot continues it's weirdness.

This is just nice to look at.  Considering that 'other thing', I'm sure they have an orderly shutdown procedure with interruptible customers, like we do.  Nothing will happen.

Weather Out

 No weather physics.  Just accept all this is the 'Will of Clange', and leave it at that.  We get cold in Canada and its fine.  Don't think of other people.

We are skimming too close to a total collapse of the US electrical and natural gas infrastructure.  Of course that's just in my head where I treat long odds as certainty.  Most people wouldn't care.  But I'll stay away.  Spring will come eventually.

US Natural Gas Infrastructure

 It is the great dream of the Republicans to let the free market control all infrastructure.  Old Eisenhower stopped that once with the Interstate system.  Nothing done since then.  Basic health care is an infrastructure.

Our great experience with this mess was the Great Blackout, of whatever year.  I made a very intense study of it when I was in the old company.  Mainly because the grid is the first thing to go out during a big earthquake.  At that time, they had no warning systems and only relied on the fault wave, and air-gap emergency switches.  This was too slow to react, and is the prime cause.

It started with some ya-hoo utility who monitored the switches with Windows screens off the mainframes.  No sensors.  At the time there was a Windows worm which came in as people were playing Solitaire, which was the big use for Win.  The worm jammed up the network without anybody knowing they would never get any distress signals.  They continued playing.  And the band played on.

They finally got a call from the next utility.  No, nothing here they said.  This now cascaded due to the fault wave effect to everybody, including Canada.  We were out a long time.

The very first cause was a tree falling on the lines, and they blamed that for the whole thing.  Nevertheless, they upgraded everything, so that it requires a Chinese attack on Windows to crash it now.

Cue the same for natgas now.  It is a hodge-podge of free market crap.  All independent networks, and storage based on the market.  As with electricity, nobody was paying for reliability.  This is a disaster waiting to play out.

It will begin with a vital storage site crapping out.  No quality control on these boogers.  Now, the panic begins.  You can't store natgas, so everybody is going to draw, to try and store some heat energy to live another day.  All the storage sites will fail one at a time, adding the demand to the next one.

This new cold blast will freeze all production.  Natgas comes with a lot of water, and that is not happy at 20 below.  Everything freezes solid, and requires natgas to thaw it out.  All the electricity relies on natgas so the grid will die.  Nuclear plants can only operate with a healthy grid.

No electricity and no gas at 40 below.  This is one of my perfect earthquake scenarios, except it is happening tomorrow.

Of course, there is a probability here.  Maybe they get by, by the skin of their teeth, like last year.  How many years can you do this?  For legal purposes I will say there is no chance of this happening, where 'no chance' is defined as 2%.  That's what every operator thinks.

Now we wait.  If it isn't this Arctic spill, then the next one right after it.  Or next year.  trumpy doesn't care because his bitcoin will go way up.

ps I forgot, natgas coming from compressed storage is expanded and infinitely cold.  They have to heat it for the system.  Lots of stress.

ps thus, you need free gas on the network to bring in stored gas.  I love it!

ps this is so horrible I'm not even looking at natgas any more.

The rebellion against US Imperialist Microsoft

 

This is what I've been waiting for.  Canada should do it, too.  MS is responsible for 99% of all big hacks, but they have 99% of the market.  Some could say that just follows, but I don't.

Obviously, trumpy's invasion of Canada would start with knocking out all MS stuff.  Same with France and all the other allies.  Get rid of that garbage!

The US is now an enemy of the world's 'Middle Powers'.  Ditch all their stuff.

The fun of frazil ice

 

That was a fun thing for the old company's generating stations before 1991.  We engineers were forced to put in useless ice barriers, and then nothing happened since then when we had our warming cycle.  If they are getting it again, we won't hear about it.

Frazil ice is caused by super-cooled water.  If you have a coke bottle of pure water, you can cool it to below freezing.  Then drop in a single ice crystal, and the whole thing practically explodes as it freezes solid.

So we have the super-cooled water descending to the grates, and then freezing solid.  As the article says, once the ice becomes thick enough you can knock it off in sheets, and it floats up.  In general, it is almost impossible to deal with.  The brand-new Pickering B plant looks like it may get an underwater intake which solves this problem.  However, I don't look and I don't tell.  That station has a major foundation problem, which I have imagined.

Orillia Earthquake

 

As if 10 feet of snow weren't enough, they get an earthquake.  Those who heard bangs were right on top of it.  You can see it's right on the Georgian Bay cross-fault, intersecting with the Hamilton Fault.  These are all just due to geological structure in the deep basement rock, and a tiny bit of fluid motion.

This is moment to be enjoyed at Timmy's.  You won't get it again.  Our real action is the Hamilton Fault, but even that is a 1 in 10,000 per year thing.  Should be planned for, but isn't.  Nuclear plants should account for it, but I have a disagreement with that, which I will take to my grave before there ever is an earthquake.

The kiddies should take this up as a science project.  I'll work on my 2 buck seismometer again.

ps this is a very good place for a surface 'ice quake'.  They'll need a closer look at the seismic records.

ps so kiddies, find out who heard the sharpest crack of this quake, and send out the drones.  Should be a big disturbance in the snow.

Stationary Cold

 Cold is the absence of heat.  The little air molecules are just sitting there, not vibrating.  We humans get a chill because all our internal chemical reactions need some heat energy to work.

Our world heat energy comes from the Sun, but more importantly, how the Pacific Ocean decides to capture that heat and distribute it.  The Sun, shining on a desert, like the Australian Outback, heats it up for the day, and then all the heat energy leaves for the night.

This basic physics has been ignored since 2000, and now the physics comes back to bite us.

We have a slow clipper seeping down on us.  The Pacific air side of the clipper is very cold.

Our warmth during the winter comes from the Gulfy, and/or the Pacific.  Nothing there.  The big question is when it will come back.

We have a long-lasting clockwise gyre, pumping the cold at us.  We still have a good flow.  I have no idea what all this means, since we are in totally new territory.  The good news is that without any Atlantic heat, Europe will be in the same boat.

ps wind mills aren't happy at 40 below.  Takes a while to clear the snow from solar panels.

Natural Gas Crosses 7 bucks

 

I was giving up for today.  I thought they were anticipating great warmth from the warmies.  Our lunge of cold may be diverted by Pacific air.  or not.

It's official - taxes make it impossible for a start-up in Canada

 

It's what I was saying, the taxes destroy start-ups.  Meanwhile, all lefties are whining about how you can't drive the tiny wheels of a scooter in a record snowstorm.  It all needs money, and do they care if the country gets it?  No, money grows on trees for these guys.

I'm pushing for Canada California, in giant underground caverns near Wesleyville.  Politically impossible?  Yes.

ps as I have said, the taxes treat wealth creators the same as those setting up a drugstore monopoly.  We must do it differently by investing like California gamblers (venture capitalists).

All Gulf heat wiped out

 We are living in the aftermath of the big storm.  All that snow was from the Gulf Heat putting up a good fight.  Toronto got extra snow because of the old Reverse Buffalo trick.

This shows an extra stab of cold, coming to finish Texas.  The clipper is sliding it over a bit, so who knows if it hits the heart?

The Spear of Cold is coming down unopposed.  Will natgas hold out?  Or the next time.

This is just a big mess.  If the Gulf heat is really wiped out, then I suppose that the Atlantic plumes will stop coming up and blocking the Arctic air.  The Arctic Basin is in its weird continuous mode.

In summary, at the 80% confidence level, we have Texas continuing at -20C for another week or two, cold over the whole US for the same amount of time, and no big snow.

 I would call this my ocean report, but the warmies have put intense effort into Australia.

This is the stagnant desert with an overhead sun!  All heat energy convects out in the night.

Anyway, to cut things short, no heat energy in the world, for those 3 who think this is important.

You can see from the above picture, and this video, that the 'nose' of Sam is cutting off the hottest water from the Atlantic belt.  This is a very important event.

The upper water of the stream isn't worth much.  I've always considered this very important for an ice age.

ps.  I call this the 'Great Heat Skimmer'.  Sends all the  heat energy down south.

The Snow is Dead, Long Live the Snow!

 

You can see their cheap plow made it down our hill, and is making no attempt to go up.  Part of the trouble of warmie assumptions when negotiating the plow contract.

Every bit of moisture has been scoured out of Nam.  Good thing the new clipper is bringing some.  We have a very powerful Arctic spill and clipper coming down, to add icing to the snow cake.

There it is, in all its 50 below glory.  Had a dream that trympy died shovelling his driveway.  Hope it isn't actually about me, since he doesn't have a driveway.

We actually have the Deadly Clockwise Gyre, up in the Arctic Basin.  That is equivalent to the concrete truck reversing the spin to dump the load.  And it's all dumping on us.  I don't have that mechanism nailed down, it should be impossible, but has happened many times this year, all with huge dumps.

This continuous dumping of cold air over us is what I predicted, but didn't hope for.  The US natgas will be slurping the straw, and all the electricity will blow up from space heaters.  That's now 30%.

Texas is now at -20C.  Their uninsulated gasworks should freeze up.  30% with 40% next time.  The odds keep going up, because the cold wave paves the way for the next, and gulfymexy has run out of heat energy.

ps we got the full 60 cm.  The snowplow cheated and only did half a lane.  Declare victory and go home. I had to use the monster snowblower from the neighbour.

Snow up to my hips, still going strong

 

I didn't want to do another one until the car disappeared.  

You can see that we are caught in a 'hook'.  That means we have a steady bypass on the edge of the storm and the wind is reversing off Lake Ontario.  That was also our last big storm, and the conditions for the storm after it, put the hook just north of us and we didn't get any snow.  Physics is neat!

I looked at the drifts on the back patio, and they are up to my hips.  I can't get the dog to break through them.  I would have to swim through them to get to the snowshoes in the back shed.

Storm Physics - Blow by Blow

 As everybody is stuck inside, they have time to read me, and my hits go up.  Of course, I've learned that none of this involves humans, since nobody buys me a cup of coffee.

The warmies are now going with 'hot oceans' causing this big storm.  They just make this up, since all the ocean charts show cold water.  Perhaps we could campaign for new charts, but we're too busy fighting trumpy.  I expect him to be very compassionate in this big storm that will kill a lot of people.

There is nothing more physicy than prize fighting.  You've got total energy of the fighter, and then the impacts.  POW!  Momentum, kinetic energy, resistance, etc.

In the North, you have the backers of the fight.  They set things up, with energy and impact, and send it down to the ring.  This is the Cold Champion.  Obviously, the same goes for the South.

The intensity of the fight has nothing to do with how hot the Southern Fighter is, but the difference in temperature.  The warmies only talk about one side of the fight.  Here we can see the war.  Of interest, is that the Pacific has joined the fight, with air over the mountains.  All the big energy comes from the Gulf.  Where you see both sides colliding, and a big blank zone, that's the main fight -- a big snowstorm.

Tomorrow, everybody expects it to be gone - HA!  See you tomorrow.

ps this is an obvious imaginary allegory to the US.  trympy has gone to murder to keep tying up the eppie files.  Anybody reading them comes to the conclusion that he pushed and organized the whole thing.  Mels went with it to keep him off her back.  That's why so many doj-dogs are jumping out the windows.  Of course I would never say this.  I mean there are only so many 10 billion lawsuits one can take.

It doesn't stop

 Tomorrow, as the natgas runs out, the Warmie Priests will assure the public that 'this, too, shall pass', and it will be warm again.  Nope.

For the first time ever, the entire Nhemi is cold.  The place to be in the world is the central desert of Australia.  The warmies can work with that.

Warmer air is still flooding the Arctic to be spun into Cold Gold by the machines.

We have a fully loaded clipper coming next.  Our spill is coming right from the North Pole, at the speed of an express train.  The clipper brings more snow with it, but, as usual, the total amount of snow depends on the Gulf air.
