California ocean temperature - a huge physics error

 

This is fun.  They are going on and on about how this is "Climate change in action", and how everybody will boil.  They have to look for such things.

But this is an effect of the Major Ice Cycle, or 'ice age' for short.  The ocean water used to be sucked down to the Pacific Belt, but now it is perfectly latitude normal.

In general, the ocean temps are perfect lines along latitude.  That means it is all solar heated.  Only in areas of active ocean currents, is this somewhat mucked.  California ocean temps are linear.

However, when compared to yesteryear, when we had heat energy, this water is very warm.  Somewhat of a phoney thing.  Oh well, keeps the presses active.
