This will be listed as our very own Phrenology era. What made all the US institutions push this? It's because they all rely on political money. Nobody is giving them money and saying 'Follow the Scientific Method'. Nope, they must be political down to their socks.
I am not happy that we are now in 'Ethnic Cleansing'. Nothing good can come from this, but it is just a continuation of purge cycles. There will be a backlash to Trump's backlash, and lashing again and again.
I will be looking for rationality, but will not find it. Can we get back to atmospheric physics? Can we be rational about earthquake engineering? Who knows?
