I love our new world of fantasy. The hard-nosed Victorians had a ton of fantasy, like spirits and phrenology. They set out the rules of the Scientific Method for all these claims that swamped them, like perpetual motion machines.
But then we forgot, and I bring out "Furry Snakes are Real"
We start with a picture.

Who can deny that picture? What, are you dead?
Then we set up the College of Furry Snakes. They declare them to be real. These guys are scientists! And they get a dollar for every new member.
Finally, we enlist the doomers. Furry snakes will take over the world! Everybody to be consumed!
I love it!
