This is good for Canada to ditch MS, which is a fine example of US Imperialism, Manifest Destiny, Trumpygreed, etc.
Using Linux can essentially turn it into a Chromebook, but you can do more. I've done this with all my old laptops, until they crumble to dust. And flip your phone over to Ooma and block everybody.
ps and US Defence has declared that open source is not up to its security standards...
I guess it's MS all the way.

I've started buying cheap micro pcs (as per your suggestion ages ago) off amazon. They always come with windows 11 on them, so it feels good to get rid of that and slap Mint or whatever on them.
