Cold Arctic blob continues to break up all over us

Yeah, the big blob of extremely cold air is coming down on us in Toronto.  The Pacific tropical plumes are pushing against it up at Alaska, and the air is pushed down.  The blob is shrinking quite a bit.

I put away the plastic on my poly tunnel since it is too cold and huge winds keep smashing it.  Maybe in May?  Europe is having fun.

Thus, we pay the piper for having a mild winter.  All the cold air just stayed on top.

ps.  if you want hope that it will be warm again, these guys are going to help you.

Look how fast those windmills are spinning!  As in the 70's we'll have a hot July, and endless news articles.  Pass the beer!

Did it snow there on Friday?
Snowed here most of the day. It didn't stick, but, it snowed
Yesterday was cold, cold, cold, and windy
And the winds! Strong and cold, despite being south west... (usually warmer, but, no such luck)
the lake temps are still cold too
Perhaps this is the "new normal"?

It's the new normal of an ice age. I was surprised how long it took after 2016 to get to 70's levels. As I've said, I hope it is just 70's (decade cycle), and not a major ice age.

Still it's cold.
Yesterday wasn't bad, still below normal
Today... and for the next two days after??
There is snow in the forecast!!!!!!
We've got tomatoes started. Lettuce, herbs (cilantro)
hoping to start peas and can't get in the garden- too wet!
Looking like "tarp" is the word to warm and dry.
