Plumes take a holiday

So, we are cold.  All the hopes for heat later in the week are with one plume.

Will that California plume go on?  Or will it turn?  The old plume for North America might miss the UK, giving them snow.  We are really looking at a few weeks for heat, but I don't know where it is coming from.

Glad your back!

It's a blizzard today.. Tried to get out for my usual walk but it was snowing and blowing which was not in the forecast for today.
I see by my weather station top wind speed in the last hour was about 15 miles per hour or 24 kms--
temp reached a high of -9C (well below seasonal norms which are usually 4 C)
the long range temp forecast for Sunday has already dropped.
chillin'

I'll be checkin back in for the plume update

btw: do you know of a good article regarding Ocean and global temp controls?
Was looking for one yesterday- something that explains the concept well for the uninitiated?
If you do leave the link here and I'll check it out
If not I'll keep looking

btw: Trudeau?
Done?
Not Done?

I'm leaning towards not done... unless more people resign..
then we may have a crisis on our hands
but for now Philpot leaving isn't going to do it

Trudeau's being smooth with his presentation regarding this episode- Heard some of what he said at an environmental rally..
the words could come back to haunt him.

The plume has hit Callie, soaking it. I assume that it will go on to us.
