Yeah, let's get away from corruption, and dive into pure physics. I know of no reason why they would muck with ocean current results.
The big news is that the Pacific current is organized again. That should lead to heat, but there is none yet.
The Gulf Stream currents are a mess, and it looks like the Atlantic belt is shifting south, but none of this agrees with the currents. A Pacific heat event requires currents and some unknown special sauce. Every peak in the world temperatures is associated with a Pacific event. Right now, we can predict that world temps are going down the sewer, but nobody will notice.
