A big linear like that is a storm, and it seems to be a big one. That is ridiculous to have Pacific air sailing over the mountains like nothing at all. That means a lot of energy, and a very high wall of air, perhaps a full 20,000 feet. It is mixing with very cold Arctic air. I would give this storm a rating of 'dang tootin large'.
All our storm drains are plugged with snow. Expect flooding on the roads. Tell your boss you stubbed your toe.
