Cold water of death reached Hawaii

I was surprised that the Maui fires were on the dry side of Maui.  They were essentially grass fires, with almost no forests.  There is an invasive grass that is like gasoline when it dries.  That should have been cleared out with standard Australian native pre-fires.  Waiting for the grass to dry out is horrible.

This is simply unmanaged dry grass.  I would be terrified living in such a place.

ps.  notice that my happy-place Tahiti is directly south of Hawaii across the cold equator and nestled in nice warm water.

pps.  difference between cold and warm water is that -- warm - I go in.  cold - only dog goes in.
