Spencer has July poofed up tremendously

 

Spencer uses a broad-brush approach of calculating the general microwave background that affects satellites.  I find his results to be very spiky, and we have a huge spike for July.  You can note that all the big rises in world temperatures were associated with El Nino and had a broad approach to the peak.  

This goes against the sea level approach, which has always correlated well with Spencer.  I am aghast.  

ps. one of the Ancient Gods of Global Warming has stated that the media has gone too far cherry-picking heat waves, and blaming every fire on clange.  This is fun, it's like the middle-class of France who stoked the French revolution, and at Mr. Chopper, they said, wait a second guys!

pps.  this spike is probably the result of that short burst of coherent flow in the Pacific.  What goes up as a spike, comes down as a spike....

Sea levels down for June

 

This is the only gauge I can find that has zero tectonic motions.  All the others are either rising or sinking.  If you go by the Influencers, only the sinking ones exist, and they aren't really sinking, but the sea level is going up at a fantastic rate.

This one is down for June, but it is really jumpy.  But it is keeping a flat average after the bump of 2016.  As we know from the real ocean temp charts, the oceans are cooling and this confirms it.  The oceans are a giant thermometer and the small motions here always correspond to satellite temperature maps.

I'm expecting a big dip like earlier results.  In fact, if the long temp cycle is over the top of the sinusoid, then it will be quite a dip.  All of this is physics, and has no impact on the modern world.  However, it would be prudent to bump up the insulation.

August weather at the first of August

 

My recall of the pre-2000 weather was that August was warm in the first 2 weeks, and then cool like this.  

Everywhere, it's cool.  Still, lots of articles about how hot it is in the US southwest.  But it's always hot there in the summer.  Looks average to me.  And Europe is finally clear of any heat.  

And we are continuing to monitor 'The Great Turtling" of the Phoney El Nino.

This is funny, because we just found a small snapping turtle in our backyard, way out of their element.  Kept trying to snap me, but we have in a basket and gave it some lettuce.  I'm going to contact the Toronto Turtle Task Tattler, to see what to do.

ps.  yeah, Google Lens to the rescue!  Very common Eastern Painted Turtle, so I just took it down to the river.  Rabbits take two days to come back, and this should take a couple of years.  :)  But, the neighbour is overrun with them.  Must be our heavy rain.
