There is a lot of physics in going smaller with flying things in the atmosphere. The air appears to be much 'thicker' at the smaller scale, and this is due to turbulence scaling. It's the prime thing that warmies forgot, and naturally, stupid is as stupid does.
When Hitler attacked Britain, it was with huge bombers. The British developed the Spitfire, which was the smallest thing they could do with the current materials. These could knock out the bombers. Even so, Britain was on its knees, with the airfields being knocked out. Good thing they slipped through to bomb Berlin, which got the madman mad, and the Germans went all-in on bombing London. The US has to come up with drone Spitfires to intercept every single offensive drone. Otherwise, everything goes up in flame. They can't do it while they are enamoured with Top Gun. When the US sends tanks and troops, they will learn another lesson.
