In the two years that I have looked at the this, I have never seen the Trade Winds so low. That really would have put a damper on the old sailing ships. The most marvellous thing is that we could actually have a mini ice age, of the type that froze out the Vikings, and still the warmies would report global temperatures rising. That's because an ice age is a totally Northern Hemisphere thing. Everybody else is warm, perhaps even warmer. Who knows?
For the sake of my cottage, I hope that the belt starts going north again. We Canadians really appreciate the warmth.
