A slow movement of cold air

We are used to the big bursts of last year, but the dominant mechanism could change at any time.  Now, we have a slow creep.

Coming from the West, it will push away the warm Gulf air, giving us lots of rain.

This is unusual, and it's not warm Pacific air, from certain fantasies.

The Arctic Basin Vortex is allowing a sweep through, from Siberia.

ps

The Alaska cold air is finally forming an arc.  I'm stuck in a googs bug, and can't release 'centre format'
